Yep - Dawn wrote about it in her book, toward the very end. She and Sharon met up in Los Angeles years later (and after John was dead) and talked about what had happened. That's when Sharon revealed to her that the night after John and Dawn fled the state, a man showed up at her house and tried to kill her. She turned the tables on him, got a knife and stabbed him to death. She then called the main cop from the Wonderland Investigation (Tom I think it was?) and he disposed of the body. She was never arrested or charged or anything, but she had terrible anger over the incident. As a nurse, Sharon was DEVOTED to preserving life and the fact that because of John she was forced to TAKE a life was the last straw for her. She never had any emotions for her estranged husband after that.
