There is nothing glorifying about this article. I was simply commenting that, despite the heinous nature of his crimes and the terrible ways he treated people, his followers believed him because of the things he said to them - things like not believing the media, like about the ways that their parents had screwed them over and thrown them away.

If we do not understand what leads vulnerable young people to charlatans like Manson, we cannot protect them from committing terrible wrongs, believing they are right, and throwing away their futures the way the Manson Family killers did.
